6th Annual Islamic Calligraphy Contest
In recognition of October as Islamic Heritage Month
The Islamic Society of Markham invites artists of all ages to participate in our 6th Annual Islamic Calligraphy Contest!
📅 Submission Deadline: October 18, 2026
📜 Requirements:
- Original artwork only, submitted in person at the ISM office by the artist themselves
- Maximum 2 submissions per artist
- Canvas size: 16″ x 20″ or 18″ x 24″
✍️ Verse Requirements:
Ages 10–15:
- Surah Al-Baqarah (2:172)
- Surah An-Nahl (16:114)
Ages 16+:
- Surah Al-Baqarah (2:152)
- Surah An-Naml (27:40)
🏆 Prizes: Winning entries receive prizes and will be displayed at the masjid.
