Community Announcement

Asalam o Alaikum Community Members,

After 7.5 years of dedicated and sincere service, Br. Mojahed Qashoa has concluded his role as General Manager of the Islamic Society of Markham.

Throughout his tenure, Br. Mojahed played a key role in strengthening ISM’s operations, supporting our staff and volunteers, and serving the community with integrity, professionalism, and commitment. His contributions have left a lasting positive impact on our masjid, and we are deeply grateful for all that he has done.

Alhamdulillah, Br. Mojahed will continue serving ISM in a new role as Corporate Secretary and will be working with the Board on an upcoming Governance & Performance Transformation initiative.

While his position has changed, Br. Mojahed remains a valued member of our community and will continue to be part of our congregation during prayers, in sha Allah.

We extend our sincere thanks to Br. Mojahed and his family for their years of dedication and sacrifice, and we ask Allah ﷻ to place barakah in his continued service.

Br. Bilaluddin Syed has stepped into the role of Interim General Manager.

May Allah reward all those who serve the masjid and keep our community united.
